Early Stages

What do you call the stage before the alpha release? I would consider ‘pre-alpha’ to be technically correct, but semantically, there’s no such thing. I mean, really, since ‘alpha’ means first, there is no semantically correct way to define what comes before, since the only true answer is ‘nothing’. But, version ‘nothing’ doesn’t sound right at all. If you have a suggestion, feel free to leave a comment.

Anyway, to the nitty gritty:

TweetMo will be (I can’t say ‘is’ yet) a Windows Mobile application for interfacing with Twitter. Twitter is a messaging/microblogging system that is rapidly gaining popularity (and hopefully will be able to keep up with its own expansion, but that’s a different discussion), and saturation in the Social Networking space.

Currently, there is a very nice Twitter application for iPhone called Twinkle. Twinkle also has the added capability of submitting location information with your Tweets, which we are thinking of implementing into TweetMo, as well.

Our goal: To develop a solid application that provides all the functionality (and more) of popular Twitter-based applications on the Windows Mobile platform.
